pH and conductivity are of utmost importance to professional gardeners and large-scale growers. pH can affect the uptake of nutrients and water by plants and reduce the effectiveness of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides. Conductivity management helps growers determine the exact fertilizer or other needs of their plants.
Care and Use: The MW802 PRO portable 3-in-1 meter includes both a pH and EC sensor in the integrated SE600 probe. All pH sensors have a limited lifespan and response time becomes longer over time. EC sensors are more robust, but can still be affected by residue buildup. Both require maintenance. Proper maintenance of your probe will give you fast and accurate results for longer. Here are our four top tips.
- Always store with a cap filled with buffer or MA9015 storage solution , not water .
- Clean your probe regularly by soaking it in MA9016 cleaning solution .
- Calibrate after cleaning and/or storage before testing to correct for changes in the pH and EC sensor.
- Gently mix the probe into the sample for a faster result.
