When growing hydroponically, it is essential to know the exact concentration of the nutrient solution before giving it to your plants. If the measured conductivity readings are low, your plants may not be getting enough nutrients and may develop mineral deficiencies. Conversely, if the readings are too high, your plants may experience what is known as nutrient "burn". To take a measurement, simply place the probe in the solution and the readings will be indicated on the blue LED display.
