What exactly is root “air pruning”? The walls of Root Plus pots have a conical texture. This encourages roots to grow toward the ventilation holes without becoming tangled. When the root tips reach the edges of the holes, they come into contact with the air and dry out, which automatically encourages the growth of more root fibers and new root branches. This process then repeats again and again, until the plants develop a healthy root structure needed to absorb water and nutrients for strong growth.
