10 mm Siphon Valve – with rubber gasket

Siphon Valve is a simple but effective valve for siphon-based drainage with asiphon. It allows a tray to drain automatically to a selected level by adjusting the riser tube. It is suitable for automated mobile systems and can provide continuous drainage if the riser is removed completely. 

Detailed specifications

• Level adjustment: Three preset water retention and drainage levels, adjusted by moving the riser tube.
• Continuous drainage: If the riser is removed completely, the valve drains the tray fully.
• Full tray: With the riser in its highest position, water is retained in the tray.
• Drainage flow: Depends on the opening diameter. Standard configuration without a reducing ring: an inner diameter of 17.5 mm provides a maximum drainage rate of 9 l/min. Other sizes are available on request.
• Rubber gasket: Includes a standard 10 mm rubber gasket, compatible with standard sump filters . A 5 mm gasket is available as an option. The gasket height affects the operating water level in combination with the riser settings.
• Installation: From 1 to 3 Siphon Valves can be used in already-constructed sump filters. The filters allow the lid to be easily removed so the valve can be installed.
• Construction: Very sturdy and resistant to demanding growing conditions. Easy to disassemble for regular cleaning.

Usage recommendations

• Adjust the riser tube to the desired fill and drainage threshold (3 levels or continuous drainage).
• Use the standard 10 mm rubber gasket for optimal operation with standard sump filters. If you want a different retention level, choose the 5 mm gasket option.
• Install 1–3 valves according to your needs and the space available in the filters; they are easy to install and remove.
• Regular cleaning is made simple by the sturdy, disassemblable design.
