LUMATEK 1000W 240V CONTROLLABLE BALLAST is a digitally controllable ballast that can operate with both sodium (HPS) and metal-halide (MH) lamps. It provides stable, precise voltage to the lamp, delivering higher PAR/PPF output while being far more energy-efficient than most ballasts on the market. The ballast features intelligent start technology and a soft-dimming mechanism. It can be externally controlled with the LUMATEK Control Panel Plus 2.0 (sold separately).

• output power: 1000W
• 4 operating modes: 600W - 750W - 1000W - 1000W SL
• generates very little heat compared with other ballasts on the market
• operates silently
• Protection against short circuits, overheating, overvoltage / undervoltage and end of lamp life!
• 5-year warranty!

An electronic ballast is a solution to the problem of irregular mains voltage. Magnetic ballasts age over time, become noisy and consume more electricity, while heating up ever more as their light output declines. This does not happen with digital ballasts: they maintain the same output and efficiency. LUMATEK ballasts are programmed for a “soft start”, meaning no voltage or current spike is required to start the lamp. This extends bulb life, does not strain the electrical installation and enables more ballasts to be started safely at the same time.

Full technical specifications:

• output power: 1000W
• Input voltage: 240V, 50/60Hz
• max. current: 4.7A
• power factor*: > 0.99
• THD*: < 10%
• dimming capability / 4 operating modes: 600W - 750W - 1000W - 1000W SL
• compatible with: 600W, 750W, 1000W HPS / MH lamps
• operating frequency: high frequency
• generates very little heat compared with other ballasts on the market
• operates silently
• Protection against short circuit, overheating, overvoltage / undervoltage, end of lamp life!
• dimensions: 318 x 166 x 96mm
• weight: 4.25 kg
• warranty: 5 years

Operating instructions:

• for use with a 600W HPS or MH lamp: the ballast must always be set to 600W mode only!
• for use with a 750W HPS or MH lamp: the ballast must never be set to 1000W or 1000W SL mode!
• for use with a 1000W HPS or MH lamp: start in 1000W mode and only after the lamp is fully warmed up (after around 10 min. of operation), you can switch to 1000W SL mode!

1. Disconnect the power when changing the lamp!
2. LUMATEK recommends replacing the lamp after 6-12 months of operation!
3. VERY IMPORTANT: allow the lamp to cool completely (20-30min.) before switching it on again! (Doing otherwise shortens its life.)
4. Also, do not switch the lamp off before it has reached full power!

Chinese chives – high-quality seeds for excellent results

Our "Chinese chives" seeds are selected with care and attention to ensure successful cultivation and high quality. This plant is known for its delicate flavour and versatile culinary use, adding freshness and aroma to every dish.

How to grow "Chinese chives" from seed

Successful growth requires well-drained soil enriched with nutrients. Loosen the soil and remove weeds to provide plants with enough space and resources. Sow seeds at suitable spacing, forming rows for unrestricted development and good air circulation. After sowing, cover them with a thin layer of soil and water carefully to provide a moist environment for germination.

During growth, it is important to maintain an optimal moisture level and avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. Feed plants regularly with organic or mineral fertilisers that provide the nutrients needed for healthy development.

Weed and pest control is essential for good plant growth. Check plants regularly to avoid competition from weeds and pest attacks. Take suitable protective measures when needed.

Once the plants reach maturity, harvest the stalks carefully to preserve their freshness and high quality.

Quality you can feel

The seeds we offer have proven high germination rates and produce healthy, productive plants. We pay special attention to every step, from seed selection to preparation for delivery.

Add "Chinese chives" to your garden and enjoy their freshness and distinctive flavour, which will enrich every dish.
