🔌 Operating principle

When a different position is selected on the rotary switch, the controller supplies a different voltage to the fan motor. In this way, the speed and therefore the air flow change in five distinct stages.

This type of control is particularly suitable for compatible AC motors when reliable adjustment is required without the need for complex electronics.

 

📋 Installation and use

1. Mount the controller vertically on a stable wall.
2. Connect the power supply and fan to the corresponding terminals according to the VENTS wiring diagram.
3. If the motor has suitable thermal contacts, connect them to the controller's protection circuit.
4. If necessary, connect an external thermostat or air-damper actuator.
5. After checking the electrical installation, switch on the power supply.
6. Select the required speed using the rotary switch.

⚠️ Important: The maximum rated load of the RSA5E-4-M is 4.0 A. Before connection, the fan motor's rated current and its compatibility with transformer control must be checked. Electrical connection should be carried out according to the manufacturer's diagram and requirements.

💡 Tip from Urban Botaniks: A transformer controller is a good choice for ventilation systems where the fan does not need to run constantly at maximum speed. VENTS VKF 4E 450 is part of the industrial series of axial fans VENTS OV / OVK / VKF. The main difference of the VKF is its construction designed for direct installation in a ventilation duct, allowing it to be easily integrated into supply and extract ventilation systems.

The fan is suitable for applications where it is necessary to move a large volume of air at relatively low system resistance. At a 50 Hz power supply, the model reaches a maximum airflow of 4680 m³/h, while the motor operates at approximately 1350 rpm and consumes 250 W.

VENTS RT-10 is a compact mechanical room thermostat for automatic control of fans, heating and air-conditioning systems according to room temperature. It allows the desired temperature to be set in the range +10°C to +30°C and, depending on the connection method, can switch equipment on or off when the set temperature threshold is reached. It operates at 220–240 V / 50–60 Hz, has IP40 protection and is intended for indoor wall mounting.

VENTS RT-10 is an easy and reliable solution for automating temperature control in rooms where ventilation, heating or air-conditioning systems operate. Instead of switching the fan or other equipment on and off manually, the RT-10 monitors room temperature and controls the electrical load according to a preset temperature threshold.

The desired temperature is set using the rotary control on the front panel, with an operating range of +10°C to +30°C. The thermostat can operate with different logic depending on the electrical connection – the contacts can open or close as the temperature rises or falls. This allows the RT-10 to be used both for controlling ventilation/cooling and in applications where heating control is required.

For example, when used with a fan, the controller can be configured so that the fan starts when the set temperature is reached and runs until the temperature falls below the specified threshold. In another configuration, the fan can run until a preset temperature is reached.
