Pest Protection

Bactoil SC - Bacillus Thuringiensis 200ml is a liquid biopesticide / organic insecticide for ornamental plants, trees, fruit or vegetables. It is a concentrated suspension of Bacillus thuringiensis (var. Kurstaki, strain PB-54 7.24%), suitable against caterpillars of all pests in the class Lepidoptera (scale-winged insects, butterflies). Especially suitable for:

• small field armyworm* (spodoptera exigua)
• biopesticide / organic insecticide
• against caterpillars

Bacillus thuringiensis is a Gram-positive bacterium found in soil and often used as a biopesticide. During sporulation, it releases a δ-endotoxin with insecticidal action. Caterpillars ingest the bacterium while feeding and die within days. It is best applied at the earlier stages of caterpillar development!

Application:

• Shake well before use!
• Dilute 2-3ml in 1l of water to make a foliar spray!
• Do not use together with bactericides!
• Spray generously over and under the leaves!
• Repeat after 7-10 days in the event of heavy infestation!

Yellow Horiver sticky traps are an effective tool for controlling flying insects in open-field agriculture and greenhouses. They are attracted by the yellow colour, land and stick to the trap.

• Effective against whiteflies*, aphids*, fungus gnats* and leaf miners*.
• The pack includes 10 traps and fastening strips.
• Made with NON-toxic adhesive
• Dimensions: 10 x 25cm

Yellow Horiver sticky traps are used to monitor populations of the following insects: whiteflies* (Trialeurodes vaporariorum), aphids (family Aphididae), fungus gnats (family Sciaridae) and leaf-mining insects (orders Lepidoptera, Hymenoptera, Coleoptera, Diptera).
Sectors are printed on each sheet, allowing you to easily count the trapped pests. By frequently recording the number of caught insects, population growth can be detected in time and swift plant-protection measures can be taken.
The traps are also useful for direct control of pests, because trapped insects can no longer fly away and die.

For optimal protection, we recommend together with yellow Horiver sticky traps using one of the following plant-based products:

• Bioleat
• Expelex

Directions for use:

• Place at a height of 30cm above the plant tops
• Use more traps per sq. m² for better results
• Most effective at temperatures from 0 to 40ºC

Spidermite Control - the natural insect eliminator.

• 100% organic
• 100% safe
• 100% control
• effective against: Powdery mildew*
• effective against: Mites*, Aphids*, Whiteflies* and many others
• Enough to make 4 litres of full-strength spray

Why use Spidermite Control?

• Spidermite Control is made from specially blended plant extracts; it is harmless to children and pets and safe for use on edible fruits and vegetables, as well as ornamental plants, from seedling to harvest.
• Spidermite Control will not harm beneficial insects.
• Spidermite Control is completely safe, leaves no harmful residue, and works by evaporating while suffocating and eliminating pests.
• Use Spidermite Control as part of your "Plant Care Programme" to achieve the best results in your home, garden and greenhouse.

How does Spidermite Control work?

• Spidermite Control works through a physical mode of action, blocking pests’ airways and causing death by suffocation.
• Insect eggs are unlikely to hatch because they are encapsulated in the medium and evidently unable to develop successfully into adulthood.

What are spider mites?

• Spider mites are a gardener’s enemy. They are a serious pest of both outdoor and indoor plants because they are difficult to spot before damaging plants. Spider mites gather on the undersides of leaves, feed on plant sap and remove chlorophyll. Visible signs include webbing and white or yellow leaf spots; severe cases lead to defoliation. Spider mites are smaller than 1 mm and can vary in colour. They lay small spherical eggs that are initially transparent, and many species spin webbing around the eggs to protect them from predators. Spider mites are generally more common in hot, dry conditions. Spider mites can hatch within 3 days, mature in only 5 days, and a female can lay up to 20 eggs per day and live for around 4 weeks. This means one adult female can create a population of one million spider mites in just one month.

Active ingredients:

• 1% Coriander Oil
• 94% Rapeseed Oil
• 5% Triethanolamine

Recommended use:

• Shake well! Dilute 25 ml SMC in 1 litre of water! Spray the tops and undersides of the leaves with a fine mist! Spidermite Control can be used at all growth stages.
