Primaterra greenhouse window / skylight
€40,39
The Primaterra roof vent is a specially designed window for the roof or wall of a greenhouse, facilitating natural ventilation and temperature control without additional energy consumption.
Detailed specifications:
- Material: frame made of 20 × 20 mm galvanised steel profile.
- Dimensions: commonly available version 640 × 750 mm (width × height).
- Installation: directly onto the polycarbonate covering, between two structural arches.
- Securing: metal hook / retaining clip set that keeps the roof vent in the open position.
- Fasteners and installation components: self-tapping screws for securing to the polycarbonate, which cut into the material as they are tightened (no pre-drilling required).
- Optional automation: the option to install an automatic mechanism (for example, a temperature-activated piston mechanism) that opens and closes according to temperature.
- Design and ventilation: the roof vent serves as a ventilation window, improving air circulation and reducing overheating and humidity inside the greenhouse.
Recommendations for use:
- For better air circulation, it is recommended to install the roof vents in a staggered arrangement along the greenhouse, on both sides or in the roof.
- If the greenhouse exceeds approximately 8 m, more roof vents are recommended (e.g. 4 units for an 8 m length).
- Installation requires 2 people; a screwdriver and knife are needed; installation time is approximately 15–20 minutes.
- If you want automatic opening, you can install a temperature-dependent mechanism that activates opening when a set temperature is reached.
- During installation, always check that the entire window / frame fits tightly against the structure and the covering, without leaving any gaps.
Benefits:
With the Primaterra roof vent, you get a reliable method of passive ventilation that helps regulate temperature and humidity without electronics. It is sturdy, with a galvanised steel profile, easy to install, and can be automated when needed, making it a valuable accessory for any greenhouse.
