The new Gavita Pro e-series are improved models of Gavita's existing classic lighting fixture series, now compatible with and adapted for complete lighting control via a Gavita Master controller. You can now control the light with just a few simple button presses.

New to the Pro line e-series is the 6/750e DE FLEX unit, which uses the recently developed Gavita Pro 750W DE 400V EL lamp. The lamp's operating range is 400-825W, placing it in the large gap between 600- and 1000-watt lamps. We named it 6/750 DE FLEX because it is equally efficient when operating at 600 watts and at 750 watts. In many cases, it is a suitable replacement for a 1000-watt ventilated unit operating at 825W, which can save you up to 20% electricity. The output of the lamp operating at 750W is 1500 μmol s-1 (2μmol s-1 per watt).

Gavita Master EL2 lighting controller

Using a Gavita Master controller to control Gavita e-series fixtures gives you maximum control, ease of use, safety and easy installation. Simply connect the controller cables to your fixture using the included T-splitter, set the fixtures to EXT (external control), connect the fixture and controller to the mains, and your lighting system is ready to use.

The controller can switch all connected modules on and off (the EL2 model can control two separate rooms with up to 40 ballasts in each, or one room with up to 80 ballasts), set the desired light-output level of the modules (as a percentage or absolute value), and even simulate sunrise and sunset by gradually starting and stopping the lamps as they are switched on and off. 

Two important controller functions are automatic lamp dimming and emergency system shutdown. When the room temperature rises above the set parameters, it can seriously damage your crop, sometimes irreversibly. The temperature sensor detects this and reduces the lamp's light output to maintain the safe temperature limits you set. A warning LED on the display will inform you if this happens so that you can take action to remedy the problem. If, for any reason, temperature control in your room fails completely and temperatures rise to unacceptable levels, the system will shut down all equipment it controls in an emergency. The controller alarm can be connected to your alarm system for immediate notification of a problem. You can connect all your e-series fixtures to one controller.

The model also has two ECM1 outputs, allowing you to switch other accessories in the room or rooms (heater, fan, irrigation system, dehumidifier, CO2 system) on and off with a load of up to 15A.

Gavita Pro 600 is the first 240-volt electronic ballast to power professional 600W 400V EL (electronic) lamps. These lamps deliver the best PAR output, an improved spectrum and the best light-output retention (>95% PAR after one year of use). The lamp is the most efficient horticultural lamp on the market and the only one designed specifically for electronic ballasts.

Gavita Pro 600 is available as a complete kit including a professional HortiStar HR 96 reflector, or as a separate ballast ideally matched with a Gavita Triple Star reflector. The ballast is fully enclosed and has no cooling fan, as it emits very little heat during operation. This enables safe, easy installation close to your lamp, reducing the electromagnetic interference reaching the ballast and significantly extending its service life and efficiency.
