Soils

BioBizz Light-Mix 50 L is an organic substrate, ideal for providing controlled vigorous growth for seedlings, young plants and cuttings from the very beginning.

• for more controlled lush growth
• for seedlings, young plants and cuttings
• optimal drainage

• main ingredients: peat moss, perlite
• EC: 1.2
• pH: 6.2
• volume: 50 L

What is Light - Mix?

• If you want more control, Light - Mix provides an ideal foundation for encouraging vigorous growth in seedlings, young plants and cuttings – right from the start.
• It gains vital micro-activity as water works with the soil, producing organic catalysts that rapidly develop root structures. Light - Mix is also specially blended to provide optimal drainage throughout – an essential property if you use automated irrigation systems.

pH and EC values

• The products of BioBizz contain natural organic elements, rather than mineral salts such as magnesium or sulphates that may be found in synthetic fertilisers. This gives Light - Mix a medium electrical conductivity (EC) value. Although its organic elements are impossible to measure, they have a self-regulating system that helps keep pH values at the correct level.

How is it used?

• You can apply larger quantities of this fertiliser to any type of plant without the risk of over-fertilising – yellowish, burnt leaf tips indicate nutrient over-fertilisation. With automated irrigation/watering systems, it is very important for water to be distributed correctly throughout the substrate; otherwise, there is a risk that it will become too wet and mould/mildew will form.

CANNA Terra Professional is a nitrogen-rich potting mix used for growing plants. Your plants grow best in a potting mix rich in nitrogen*. CANNA Terra Professional is unmatched among the products you will find in a garden centre. It contains a blend of improved dark peat, granulated peat moss and perlite. Whether you intend to grow plants indoors or outdoors, this is the potting mix to choose.

• Ingredients: Peat, Perlite, Dolomitic lime, mineral NPK enhancer
• Organic matter: >85%
• EC (electrical conductivity): 1.0mS/cm
• pH: 6.0
• Mineral NPK enhancer in a 12-14-24 ratio: 1.5kg/m³
• volume: 50L

The benefits of CANNA Terra Professional:

• Exceptional, high-value organic ingredients, such as loose peat moss free from disease-causing organisms.
• These ingredients also stimulate root development and the formation of thicker stems.
• Higher yields. Faster metabolism* combined with a low incidence of disease guarantees greater production.

Directions for use:

• Loosen CANNA Terra Professional and fill the pots, applying light pressure to the growing medium.
• Add water until it starts to drain slightly from the bottom, then plant in CANNA Terra Professional.

Watering:

• Depending on pot size, growing conditions and the plant's stage of development, adjust the amount of water to the needs of the individual plant. Under normal conditions, mature plants evaporate 4–6 litres of water daily per 1m².
• For larger plants, use pots with a capacity of 5 litres or more. The larger the pot, the more stable the root environment. If you use standard drainage systems, make sure drainage is sufficient; you can place a thin layer of expanded clay at the bottom of the pot for better airflow and drainage.
• CANNA Terra Professional is structurally homogeneous, natural and free of soil-borne viruses and diseases. CANNA Terra Professional has a complex water-air system that creates ideal conditions for virtually every form of plant cultivation. Once used, CANNA Terra Professional becomes an excellent soil-mix improver.

• The plastic packaging is 100% recyclable.
• Store in a cool, dry place!
• Do not expose to temperatures below 4ºC!

BioBizz ALL - Mix 50l. is organic substrate.

• The best-known soil in the industry
• Heavily pre-fertilised soil mix
• Supports vigorous growth for weeks
• High EC value

• Main ingredients: peat moss, worm castings, perlite, Mycorrhiza, Pre - Mix™
• EC: 2.2
• pH: 6.2

What is All - Mix?

• All - Mix literally does everything for you - creating an optimal environment for your plants to thrive throughout the year. This heavily pre-fertilised soil mix is every bit as good as rich outdoor soil with a complete, micro-active ecosystem. It is designed to have enough energy and nutrients to support vigorous growth for several weeks, without the need to add any extra fertilisers.

pH and EC values

• Products by BioBizz contain natural organic elements rather than mineral salts such as magnesium or sulphates, which you may find in synthetic fertilisers. This gives All - Mix a high electrical conductivity (EC) value. Although its organic elements cannot be measured, they have a self-regulating system that helps keep pH values at the correct level.

How is it used?

• When using All - Mix for the first time, wet it with water and leave it to stand for 36 hours! This gives the active fertiliser Pre - Mix™ and the microorganisms in the substrate a chance to start working their "magic" before the plants are sown.
• Keep the soil slightly warm at all times - if it is too cool, microbial activity slows down, making plant growth more difficult. It is advisable to let the soil dry out between waterings. As the All - Mix substrate dries, fresh air enters and helps the soil breathe.

BioBizz Worm Humus 40 L is an organic substrate conditioner.

• All-round soil conditioner
• EC: 1.5
• pH: 7.3
• volume: 40 L

The ideal ratio to aim for is a blend of:
10-15% Worm - Humus to 85-90% All - Mix.

What is Worm - Humus?

• Worm Humus, also known as "vermicast", is the end product of decomposed material excreted by the king of the soil – the earthworm. This high-quality organic compost is made from 100% pure worm castings, which are rigorously laboratory tested to ensure they contain no agricultural waste or compost. Packed with water-soluble nutrients and bacteria, our Worm - Humus is a highly nutritious organic fertiliser and an excellent soil enricher.

Quality you can trust

• The earthworms that produce our 100% organic humus are kept on an exceptionally controlled, nutritious diet of rock minerals and organic potato peelings. By combining the decomposed material produced by the worms with the natural microbes in the soil, you get the finest worm humus you can buy.

How is it used?

• Worm - Humus is ideal for refreshing All - Mix, adding to already used soil mixes, or preparing subsoil.
• The ideal ratio to aim for is a blend of: 10-15% Worm - Humus to 85-90% All - Mix!

CANNA Terra Seed Mix is a soil mix* that is exceptionally suitable for germinating the seeds of your favourite plants. It combines wonderfully with CANNA Start.

• Ingredients: Coconut fibre, White peat, Black peat, sand, Dolomitic lime, mineral NPK enhancer
• Organic matter: >50%
• EC (electrical conductivity): 0.4mS/cm
• pH: 5.7
• Mineral NPK enhancer NPK in a ratio of 12-14-24: 0.4kg/m³
• volume: 25L

Advantages:

• The homogeneous and stable structure of Terra Seed Mix is an excellent means of retaining water, giving seeds the ideal opportunity to germinate properly.
• The product CANNA Terra Seed Mix is also particularly suitable for rooting cuttings.

Directions for use:

• Sowing in Terra Seed Mix - Sow the seeds at a depth of 2-3mm (max. 5mm) in Terra Seed Mix soil mix, placed in a container with a maximum diameter of 5cm. Spray the growing medium regularly. At first, the seedlings use the energy reserves of the seed itself. Keep the seeds warm (20 – 25°C) and provide the necessary humidity, for example by using a seed germination chamber. Lift the lid of the seed germination chamber as soon as the seedling emerges.
• Young seedlings - Young seedlings are very delicate, so do not place them in direct sunlight or near a powerful greenhouse lamp, as they may burn. Give young plants a nutrient solution with a low EC (1.2) and add CANNA RHIZOTONIC to strengthen the roots. Seedlings are ready for planting when they form two to three leaves.
• Outdoor growing - Although it is possible to sow seeds directly in the ground and wait for them to germinate, the success rate is considerably lower than when this process is carried out indoors. Outdoor soil temperature does not provide ideal conditions for seed germination. Place the emerging seedlings somewhere they can acclimatise to outdoor conditions – for example, on a balcony. Start by germinating the seeds indoors. Place the emerging seedlings somewhere they can acclimatise to outdoor conditions.
• Cuttings and what comes next - Once plants develop a good root system in CANNA Terra Seed Mix, you can transfer them to a growing medium such as CANNA Terra Professional, CANNA Terra Professional Plus, CANNA Coco Professional Plus, CANNA Aqua Clay Pebbles or rockwool, where you will grow them until they reach maturity. CANNA's nutrient range includes the best specific combinations for each of these growing media, which will guarantee an optimal yield.

Bio Terra Plus is pH balanced and provides optimal basic conditions for professional results. With Bio Terra Plus, there is no need to measure EC and pH values. Organic growing media and nutrients are not made from mineral salts, but from organically bound elements that cannot be measured. The growing medium has a natural pH that keeps the soil in balance.

Made from high-quality resources:

• High-quality peat - The peat used is of the finest available quality and can only be found in a few places around the world. The long fibrous structures of the peat in Bio Terra Plus are much lighter than cheaper products on the market, which is a definite advantage for the plant.
• Bark - The bark we use has special characteristics. Low-quality bark can often cause harmful mould. The bark used in Bio Terra Plus has antiseptic properties.
• High-quality coconut - Bio Terra Plus contains coconut fibre; in fact, the best coconut is used: CANNA Coco. Certified balanced organic fertilisation, enriched with beneficial soil bacteria for the plant, creates a favourable symbiosis, which means:
  1. fewer soil-borne diseases
  2. better nutrient release and uptake
  3. better plant development
