Description

CLONEX Rooting Gel 50ml. is a rooting gel used by hobbyists and professional gardeners around the world for the most successful rooting.

  • Easy to use.
  • Adheres instantly to the cut tissue, sealing it and eliminating the risk of infection or embolism.
  • Contains rooting hormone 3000 particles per million, the full strength needed for explosive root development.
  • Gel – far safer than liquids or powders because it cannot spill or blow away. Unlike liquids and powders, Clonex rooting gel will remain completely in contact with the stem throughout the rooting period.
  • It does not wash off when you water your plants.
  • Works with its partner products Root Riot and Clonex Mist to give young plants the healthiest and strongest start to their development.

Instructions for use:

  • Choose young branches / shoots from the healthiest plants. If possible, the plant tips may be sprayed with Clonex Mist once or twice a week before taking cuttings. Cut the shoot tips, each with four or five pairs of leaves, and remove the lower two pairs of leaves.
  • Always use a clean, sharp knife or blade. Make a precise diagonal cut at the base of the shoot, directly below the lowest leaf junction.
  • Pour a small amount of Clonex rooting gel into a separate container for immediate use. Do not dip the cut tissue into the original container and do not return unused Clonex rooting gel, as this may contaminate the remaining gel.
  • Immediately dip the cutting approximately 15 mm into Clonex rooting gel, then place the cutting in the rooting medium (rockwool, Jiffy, etc.) deeply enough for it to be held securely.
  • Spray the new cuttings with Clonex Mist and place them in a propagator. The lid and vents should be closed.
  • After 2-3 days, spray the cuttings again with Clonex Mist and open the propagator vents slightly.

Check for new roots after a few days—continue spraying with Clonex Mist until the plant is ready for transplanting. If planting in soil, carefully place the soil around the roots to avoid damaging them.

TIP: New cuttings should be kept in a closed propagator, with most plant species thriving at a temperature of 21-24°C and relative humidity of around 90%. Once new roots appear, your plant will need to be hardened off. Open the propagator slightly to allow a small amount of air in. Open it a little more each day until you eventually remove the lid completely. When the young plants are well developed, they can be placed in larger rockwool cubes or transplanted into soil or coco. Carefully place the soil around the new roots to avoid damaging them.
