What is Leaf-Coat?

• Leaf-Coat is a ready-to-use product that strengthens and protects plants from unwanted insects and leaf-damaging fungi. Made from natural latex, originally developed to prevent evaporation, it forms a permeable, biodegradable barrier on the leaves that still allows air and light to pass through.

Why does Leaf-Coat offer better protection in all conditions?

• If the atmosphere becomes too hot and humid (above 28ºC), Leaf-Coat helps prevent excessive water loss through evaporation. At the same time, the natural latex layer formed around the leaves helps the plant breathe and prevents it from "sweating". When temperatures drop, as in the winter months, Leaf-Coat protects against cold by helping maintain leaf temperature.
• As an environmentally responsible alternative to pesticides, Leaf-Coat could not be more suitable or safer to use. Reducing the need for pesticides also saves money. Unlike synthetic and toxic products, it has a pleasant smell and is non-irritating. Because Leaf-Coat is not absorbed by the leaves, it does not affect the taste of fruit.

How is it used?

• You do not need to mix Leaf-Coat with water — simply apply it directly from the bottle, preferably with a sprayer. Spray the leaves and flowers thoroughly and repeat twice a week until two weeks before the end of the flowering period. Within a few hours of application, a very thin, elastic layer — 1.5 microns thick — forms on the leaves. Its beneficial effects last up to two weeks, until it naturally breaks down in light or sunlight.
