Description

Heather from seed – Beautiful pink shades for your garden

Description:
Yes, that's right – heather can be grown successfully from seed! This pink-toned variety usually does not exceed 30 cm in height, adding delicate colour and texture to any garden. The young tips of the plant are used to produce yellow dye.

Sowing method:

  • Period: Can be sown in pots throughout the year.
  • Germination process: First, keep the seeds warm (18-22°C) for 2-4 weeks. Then place the pots in the refrigerator (+4°C) for 4-6 weeks to provide cold stratification. Afterwards, return them to room temperature and wait for germination to begin. Sprouts may emerge unevenly over a longer period, so do not discard the seeds too early.
  • Outdoor planting: They can also be sown outdoors, left in place during winter, and will germinate in spring.

Height:
The plants reach about 30 cm in height.
