CARBON-B1 CO2 controller
€306,78
CARBON-B1 CO2 Controller
CARBON-B1 is a carbon dioxide (CO2) controller. It maintains preset CO2 levels by switching on a CO2-emitting device. The user can adjust the desired CO2 level and the allowable deviation range (hysteresis) using two rotary dials. The controller switches off during the dark period via a built-in photocell. Three indicator lights (yellow, green and red) show the controller's current status and the CO2 level with an accuracy of 50 ppm.
INSTALLATION:
Plug CARBON-B1 into a standard 220V socket. For permanent mounting, use the mounting lug at the top of the housing. The CO2 sensor is on a cable, so it can be mounted on the wall in a suitable location.
Plug in the device (or devices) whose switching will be controlled. Make sure the maximum current (10 A, or about 2200W) is not exceeded. If you need to control device(s) with higher power, use a relay.
READING CO2 LEVELS:
Once the device is plugged in and warmed up (about 5 min.), the red (x1k) and yellow (x100) indicator lights start flashing. The number of flashes of the red light indicates thousands of PPM (parts per million), while the number of flashes of the red light indicates hundreds of PPM. Thus, one flash of the red light and three flashes of the yellow light indicate a CO2 level between 1300 and 1400 PPM.
The green indicator light at the top right is lit when the photocell is activated, while the green indicator light in the centre turns on when the controller supplies power.
SETTING THE CONTROLLER:
Use the left button to select the desired CO2 level. This is the minimum CO2 level that will be maintained. When the CO2 content in the air falls below this level, the controller will supply power. Suitable levels for greenhouses are 1100-1600 PPM.
Use the right button to set the controller interval (hysteresis). This is the interval (in PPM) by which the CO2 content must increase before the controller switches off. Normal values are 50-150 PPM. A smaller interval means more frequent switching on and off.
SENSOR CALIBRATION:
To calibrate the CO2 sensor, take the controller outside and leave it switched on for 10 min. Then turn the left button fully to the left and the right button fully to the right. After 3 sec., the controller will enter calibration mode and the red indicator light will turn on. STAND CLEAR OF THE CONTROLLER!
When calibration is complete (3-6 min.), the yellow indicator light will turn on. If it flashes, an error occurred during calibration; start it again. Switch off the controller and return the buttons to their normal settings before switching it on again.
