can extend the life of your pH electrode as follows:

1. Storage: The pH probe must be kept hydrated. Long periods of dry storage will harm the probe's sensitivity. Allowing the probe to dry out can also cause deposits and blockages at its tip. Storing it in MA9015 storage solution or pH calibration buffers will help address both issues. Do not store in tap water or distilled water! This will damage the probe's sensitivity. The best way to store the probe is with the probe cap filled with storage solution or calibration buffer and the cap tightened to prevent leakage. It is also recommended to store the electrode upright to further reduce the risk of
2. leakage. Cleaning: Deposits on the probe tip from nutrient-solution mineral salts or organic material can affect its sensitivity and clog it. We recommend regularly soaking your electrode in MA9016 cleaning solution. Calibration: the
3. glass tip of the pH probe becomes less sensitive over time, so make sure you calibrate regularly to keep your MAX monitor accurate. Also calibrate after cleaning or a long period of storage.
