Windhager dehydrated coconut fibre discs are a compressed substrate made from 100% natural coconut fibre, intended for seed germination, rooting and seedling production. After adding water, the discs quickly expand and become an air-permeable, moisture-retentive substrate that provides excellent conditions for young plant development. The product is biodegradable, sterile and peat-free.

Windhager coconut discs are a practical, eco-friendly solution for successfully starting plants from day one. Made from high-quality coconut fibres pressed into compact discs, they expand many times in volume after soaking in water and form a ready-to-use growing medium.

Thanks to their natural microporous structure, coconut fibres retain a large amount of water while providing excellent root aeration. This creates an optimal environment for seed germination, the development of a healthy root system, and even growth of young plants. Unlike traditional peat pellets, coconut substrate is a renewable resource and a more eco-friendly alternative.

📋 Instructions for use

1. Place the discs in a suitable container or mini greenhouse.
2. Add lukewarm water and wait a few minutes until they expand fully.
3. Place the seed or cutting in the central opening of the disc.
4. Keep the substrate consistently moist, but not waterlogged.
5. Once seedlings develop a sufficiently strong root system, transplant the plant together with the coconut disc into a pot or directly into the soil.
